GOVERNMENT OF MAHARASHTRA DRAWING GRADE EXAMINATIONS
ELEMENTARY GRADE EXAMINATION - 4th PAPER

TUESDAY, 27th SEPTEMBER 2016

[TIME - 02:30 P.M.  TO  05:30 P.M.]

PLANE GEOMETRY AND LETTERING

Instructions for Candidates -
(1)  Solve any three out of the five questions from Section 'A' (Plane Geometry).
(2)  It is compulsory to solve the question of 'Lettering' from Section 'B' ( Solid Geometry and Lettering).
(3)  All the lines drawn for the diagram should be permanent.  They should not be erased.
(4)  While Drawing the diagram, special attention should be given to neatness and preciseness.
(5)  If necessary, both the sides of the paper can be used.

SECTION 'A' - PLANE GEOMETRY

Solve any three questions from Section 'A' :-

[1]  Construct a rhombus ABCD with its base AB = 6 cm long and angle A = 70 degree.

[2]  Draw a right angled triangle PQR with hypotenuse PR = 7.5 cm and angle P = 40 degree.

[3]  Point N is at 3 cm distance from line LM = 8 cm long.  Draw a parallel line to line LM from point N.

[4]  Draw an equilateral triangle XYZ with one side 10 cm long.  Inscribe in it three equal circles each to touch two sides of the triangle and their diameters to be adjacent.

[5]  On a line PQ = 9 cm long, mark points L, M, N at the distances of 2 cm,  4.5 cm and 8 cm.  Divide line AB 4 cm long in the same proportion as the divisions of line PQ.



SECTION 'B' - SOLID GEOMETRY AND LETTERING

Solve all the questions :-

[1]  Draw the Plan and Elevation of a cylinder standing on its base.  The diameter of the cylinder is 5 cm and height is 8 cm.

[2]  Draw a semicircle shape board with radius 11 cm.

[3]  In the above semicircle shaped board, make use of Roman / Devanagari or any Indian script for the lettering suitable to the meaning of the word / title given below.  Colour it with colours of your choice.
